Absolutely our go to place for seven courses of need and baked catfish. Staff were helpful and approachable. Baked catfish came out is about 35 minutes. Beef rolls came out in 10 minutes. Ambiance is cozy, comfortable family oriented restaurant. Big tables and many seats plus nice decor. Highly recommended!

7 course beef is a staple of mine while growing up. My family always did Bo 7 Mon as family dinners and events. The food here was delicious and definitely gave me a huge rush or childhood nostalgia. 100% recommend, make sure you come here with an open mind... as this is real Vietnamese food that's not pho or spring rolls that most people think.

Warning: It gets pretty packed during your normal meal hours. I would try off-peak hours next time!! Nestled in the Mall of Fortune in the heart of Little Saigon. We came here after my dad's funeral with our extended family (love you dad). There were like 30 of us. My uncle did the honor of ordering for our large party. Quick story: back in the day, we would always commit to ordering the "7 courses of beef"! Now we can get to pick and choose the course we love most. Here is the order for that day: Bo nuong la lot - juicy charbroiled beef rolls, marinated and wrapped in Hawaiian lot leaf. This is one of my favorites. a little sweet and the flavor is addicting! The leaf is so aromatic and cooks into the meat like a champ! bo nuong mo chai - also juicy charbroiled meatballs. ca nuong vi -marinated catfish, grilled to perfection. These will come with rice paper and Vietnamese herbs and veggies so you can build your rolls with the protein dishes above. There are other protein choices on the menu so please peruse carefully! You can also order rice or vermicelli noodles to accompany your meal. Rice paper wrapping can be quite challenging. Lay down one rice paper. layer lettuce herbs pickled carrots daikon and cucumber. add some protein. fold rice paper as you would a burrito. Good luck lol. Heineken paired well with this meal. Service is good despite how crowded the restaurant was. Be patient ok? Enjoy!

I came here on a Saturday around 11:30 AM party of 2 and was seated right away. There was a lot of tables available, but it seemed like the restaurant was busy because there was a lot of huge parties. I actually called for them to start my catfish right away and they said only mediums were available . By the time I got there, we waited about 10 minutes and our catfish arrived. I came here for the baked catfish and left w the medium completely gone!! My friend and I finished the entire thing! We also added noodles and a plum sour drink which I didn't like but that's okay. Our bill plus tip was about $100 so I was very satisfied. The medium is very doable. We were very full. Happy and full Make sure to ask for everything in the beginning and all at once bc It's such a big restaurant service is hard to track down unless you're right next to the cashier.

This place is got amble tables. I was told This is the best place for your own spring rolls. I was explained how it works by the great server. It was fun making my own once they show you. Ingredients are fresh. I definitely will be back here

My Vietnamese friend brought me to this local spot, and boy has it changed my life!!! We arrived around 7pm on a Friday, and it was busy but we were able to be seated right away since they have so many tables. The ambiance inside is very much giving banquet hall + aquarium fine dining lol but I liked it! This restaurant is known for their baked catfish. I highly recommend!!! The first bite had my jaw on the floor. The meat is super sender and light, but they somehow make the skin super super crispy (if you know Filipino lechon, the texture was exactly like that)!! You eat it with the veggies and rice paper provided. Pair it with the sauce mixture you make at the table, and it's a party in the mouth! We ordered a medium for 3 people, and we were all stuffed by the end of the dinner. We also ordered the meatballs in 2 forms (normal meatballs and the meatballs in a leaf wrap), and I have to say these are some of the best meatballs I've ever had! Not to be confused with Italian meatballs, these meatballs have a distinct Vietnamese flavor and are so juicy. I wanted to order another batch of these, they were so good! We also ordered a small salad to share! Everything we had was amazing, and I'm already planning on bringing more people out to try the catfish and meatballs! You gotta give it a try if you haven't yet!

Originally from norcal, I love 7 course beef and wanted to experience it down here. This restaurant is very spacious and the staff were welcoming and interactive! The 7 course beef comes out with 7 different preparations of beef provided with vegetables, rice paper, and dipping sauces. Everything was so delicious, tender, and fresh. I highly recommend coming here for the 7 course beef, it was amazing and lived up to the hype! The catfish dish was on the other hand not the highlight of our visit. It was quite bland and the texture was more on the rougher side. Perhaps this could've been a bad day for them, but from my experience I wouldn't recommend this.

Today, Sunday dinner was crowded. I noticed a large group celebrating special events reasons for the unusual wait time for party of two . My go to spot when I crave seven course of beef. Rice paper wrapped in lettuce and pickled daikon, carrots, herbs and beef cooked seven different ways . We opted for crispy fried catfish la lot beef and beef balls, I didn't choose the seven course meal set this time around. The catfish usually takes about 30 minutes so make sure to order that first or call to place your order prior to coming in . Service was exceptionally hospitable and attentive considering how busy they were . The waiters anticipated our needs with water refills and replenishing with more lettuce and herbs. This is more of a casual vibe , great place to accommodate large groups.

California has undeniably the best Viet food in the United States (across the board). Bo 7 Mon, or beef 7 ways, is a staple in the OC area and one my parents enjoy. Here are my thoughts on what I think is a very solid Vietnamese restaurant. We ordered the fried fish, beef roll wrapped in leaf appetizer, and almost like a beef ball like you would use for dumpling fillings eaten with a moist shrimp paste fried cracker. The fried catfish was flaky, had a thin crispy skin, and very tender meat. The preparation for these takes a while and you can taste the slow fry process paying off. It works great with the tangy sauce paired with the dish. The beef roll appetizers are probably something you don't want to pass, as it really does bring a taste of Vietnamese cuisine easy for anyone to eat. Imagine a beef patty that's infused with herbs and gentle lemongrass spice. Similar vibe going on with the beef balls with shrimp cracker except they use a different combination of herbs and seasoning to create something light and easy to continue eating. Solid family Vietnamese spot that represents the diverse ways Vietnamese cuisine presents beef. I would go back because well I grew up on Viet food and am a huge fish boy. I like my catfish as much as I do my omakases. They do beef and catfish very solidly here so just go in and have a good time sharing the dishes with family and friends.
